Disabled people for many reasons, young and old, are often socially isolated and can lack confidence. Also disabled people, young and old, don't get enough exercise.
Our 1:1 befriending scheme for older disabled people, who are often isolated at home with little or no family contact, will ensure that people have a regular visitor, someone to chat to on a regular basis. Our social and sports activities for our younger members will give young people activities to take part in on a regular basis and the sporting activities will help to keep people healthy.
‘I have enjoyed so many opportunities to get involved and build my confidence-levels. I have been able to enjoy improved concentration levels and improved fitness levels. Jigsaw is a massive piece of my life- if I didn’t have Jigsaw I’d be lost without it’
