    Situation

We have many local children using the garden where we provide educational support for programmes of arts- or environmental-based activities. It is now enclosed by a practical Heras fence, which the trust open and close for access by families. However, we just don't have the funds at present to make further improvements by way of installing basic wooden play equipment and rustic-style furniture. The result is that the user groups climb on what is present; establishing fruit trees / a willow seat

    Solution

Through consultation with our local beneficiaries we are agreed that in order to preserve the established plants and shrubs within the garden, some form of play equipment and seating is required for users. In time we have plans for a green hedge or a fence of natural woven material to hide or replace the Heras panels, as the overall aim is to create a space that also benefits local wildlife. By restoring the (vandalised) wildlife mural and installing some interpretation we can educate families.
