    Situation

To keep the jazz genre alive and educate the public to the fact that jazz is not only traditional jazz but encompasses many other types of music. Young musicians do not always have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience made up of other than their friends and families. There are many professional musicians willing to work with students but there is not always a vehicle to merge the two.

    Solution

Approximately 80 different bands will be booked to perform during the 3 day period covering the entire spectrum of jazz music including but not limited to: traditional jazz, jazz rock, big band swing, cool blues, Latin vibes with promotional material to match. We will propose some of these bands work within the local schools. We will provide a free bandstand where school bands will be performing.
