    Situation

Our work will engage with young people and staff through the Young Peoples Leadership Academy coming from residential care, care at home, fostering or those affected by addiction either personally or within their family. Some young people may also have experienced violence, psychological difficulty or crime and anti-social behavior. Achieving our target will mean we can address the personal and social challenges affecting hard to reach young people across the UK.

    Solution

The first phase of our work is undertaken in the young people's communities. The second, the residential element of our Programmes takes place at one of our inspirational Centres on the Isle of Skye or Loch Lomond. Here, our, participants take part in a range of activities and experiences underpinned by Columba 1400’s distinctive core values. The final phase builds on the residential experience and is designed to meet the needs of participants once back in their home communities or Schools.
