We have identified the huge problem of children aged 2 to 5 years who cannot communicate, their speech and language is delayed which leads to frustration and negative behaviour. This also impacts on their family life so we aim to improve their language skills and reduce their negative behaviour.

By employing a support worker to plan for each child's needs and implement activities on a one to one basis to improve their communication and behaviour problems. This is an ongoing problem which seems to have worsened over the past 3 years. We hope that by the time the children start school theirr language skills will improve and this will decrease the frustration they feel because they cannot make themselves understood
