    Situation

20 million people including 6 million children are now at high risk of deadly water-borne diseases, including watery diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A and typhoid. Authorities are expecting the death toll to rise significantly as a result of disease outbreaks and escalating malnutrition rates in marooned communities.

    Solution

We are committed to Pakistan’s long-term recovery and we will continue to support the most vulnerable families. We will protect families from the spread of disease and help them to rebuild their lives, by re-establishing their livelihoods and providing them with access to quality healthcare and education for their children. Our response to the crisis in Pakistan will include: food aid, health and nutrition, shelter and non food items, child protection and education.
