Hoylake Cottages provides 24 hour nursing, respite and day facilities for older people and those with dementia. Our big idea is buy a new specialised minibus to transport our clients to and from our dementia day facility, Sandhills.

Situation
The current minibus is 8 years old and has 170,000 miles on the clock so is in need of replacement. It currently travels over 500 miles a week picking up 80 clients from around the Wirral, providing a vital transport service to our clients and their carers. The current minibus has a lift but does not allow access to larger wheelchairs. Hoylake Cottage currently spends significant sums on repairing the minibus and it is inevitable that these costs will continue to escalate.
Solution
A new minibus with an electrical lift will be able to cope with the needs of the wheelchair users and those with poor mobility. It will reduce increasing maintenance costs and mean a reliable mode of transport, ensuring that we continue to provide the vital transport service to our clients and their carers.
