The nature reserve is close to Newcastle and several schools and is potentially a fantastic resource for young people to learn about the natural world close to where they live. Unfortunately there are no facilities at the reserve, such as toilets, hand washing and shelter that are needed for study length visits. We also need to enlarge our small viewing hides so that they can be used by groups of children.

Our project will design and build facilities at the reserve that will enable school groups to visit and study the natural world.
