    Situation

    Hospitality industry leaders felt there was a need to educate its college students to be more aware of the dangers of alcohol and drugs mis-use and formed The Ark Foundation which is part of the hospitality industry's main charity. The aim was to educate young iindustry professionals to become more aware of what alchohol and recreational drugs does to the brain and how it breaks down in the body. Our targetted audience is trainee Chefs, restaurant staff and Management. The Ark Foundation provides annual visits to all 1st year College and University students studying Hospitality and Catering. We visit 225 colleges and speak to 10,000 students every year and plan to maintain this level year on year. We employ 3 professionals to provide the educational seminars and 1 administrator to set up andorganise the visits. The adminsitrator is also responsible for obtaining funding for the project. Costs. Employment £112K each visit is priced at £500 Travel costs £16K Office costs £21K Includes Administrator's salary. Income £97K from iundustry associated bodies
