    Situation

UK Horse riders have access to just 22 percent of the UK public rights of way, while carriage drivers have access to only five percent. This low figure is only exasperated when you consider how few riders are fully aware of the bridleways in their area. A network of volunteers is currently working to map the bridleways across the UK, for the BHS to produce a fully comprehensive map of available routes all across the UK and provide location details of equestrian services, information and advice. This will not only enable riders to fully utilise the bridleways and services in their own area, it will also provide important and useful information when travelling. This unique mapping and research system is already being used by over 100 people a month in our pilot scheme. Please help the BHS enable all riders and carriage drivers to make the most of the UK Public Rights of Way network to provide full online access to all.
