We want multi-disabled, blind and partially sighted children to get the best start in life. Our new Vision School and Children's Home will provide exceptional learning and living facilities for children aged 11-19, giving them the chance to develop their independence. We need your help to build our new school and home in Coventry. There is a devastating shortfall of specialist care and education and RNIB has committed to provide this exemplary service. Join us in helping to provide an atmosphere where young people can learn, live and fulfill their potential.

    Situation

60 young children will call Vision 'home'. The resident quarters will be specifically constructed to ensure they are able to live in a safe and secure environment. The home will provide a calming and relaxing place to live, where the children can maximise their potential for independence. A specialist school will provide 70 children with a caring and unique education. RNIB currently provides a full-time home for 19 children and education for 25 children. RNIB Vision School and Children's Home is desperately needed; the buildings are no longer fit for purpose at the present site. RNIB Vision School and Children's Home will have a nationwide remit. We are looking to raise £29m to enable us to build this critically necessary school and residence. With such a shortfall in the provision of this specialist care and education, we need your help to ensure RNIB Vision becomes a reality.
