CNCA provides a befriending service for elderly, isolated and lonely people who live alone, many of whom have no next of kin or support networks and often have Dementia. We also befriend elderly carers and families caring for an elderly relative. The service is made up of home visits to the most vulnerable, with many receiving weekly calls. Christmas can be especially lonely for many elderly people and through our Christmas Hampers, we aim to make the festive period a slightly less lonely time.

For the last 10 years, we have gathered, assemble and distributed 500 Christmas Hampers which go out to the most lonely and isolated elderly members of our community. The feedback we get every year is overwhelmingly positive. Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time for those who have no one, and so we are asking for help in order to provide Christmas Hampers and to remind our elderly clients that people are thinking of them.
