The Door Step School on Wheels project supports children from Mumbai's most disadvantaged communities; travelling through communities where education is often not an option. The lessons introduce children to education and act as a stepping stone into mainstream education.
It ran from 12:00 PM, 1 January 2016 to 12:00 PM, 1 December 2016

In India, an estimated 8 million children have never attended school, with many in hazardous employment making them vulnerable to abuse, drug or alcohol problems, petty crime involvement and having their earnings stolen. Access to educational opportunities remains a major challenge.
Child Action works closely with Doorstep School to help children living in street or slum communities to access government education by teaching them maths and literacy to reach the appropriate standards for entrance on the School on Wheels. This project will provide such lessons and enrolment support for 100 children.
