    Situation

Gift to Nature has worked on a number of publicly accessible conservation sites on the Isle of Wight over the last eight years. Without ongoing work these sites will degrade, past efforts will be lost and various species will be threatened. Much of the work onsite will be undertaken by volunteers, but we need to manage this process and bring in expert advice and specialist contractors where needed. Obtaining grant funding for this sort of ongoing work is almost impossible, so we really do rely on donations from the public to ensure that this valuable work continues. Our fundraising target for 2010 is just £5,000. This money will help keep Munsley Bog, Bohemia Bog, the Red Squirrel Safari in Parkhurst Forest, Sandown Wetlands, Merstone old station and One Horse Field in Totland in great shape for the flora and fauna that inhabit them and the humans that visit!
