    Situation

The project will target a unique mixture of genocide survivors, ex-combatants and former prisoners. It will deal with the difficulties faced between each group with a multi-pronged approach involving social reconciliation, strengthening the economic capacity of individuals and groups through training and provision of micro-finance, and developing local capacity to deal with psychological trauma.

    Solution

Train community leaders who will foster community dialogue, acting as councillors and mediators. Reintegration and reconciliation in a post-genocide environment isn’t easy; the wounds are deep, so this project will attempt to cautiously heal them.
