    Situation

At Abbeyfield’s Anson House in Great Haywood we support and care for some of the most vulnerable members of our society - older people who are very frail, including those with physical and mental health problems and needing nursing care, as well as people who have dementia. Our dedicated staff team provide nursing and specialist care 24 hours a day, and many of them give up much of their own time to support events at Anson House and to enhance the quality of life for residents, especially for those who have no family or friends of their own. We are currently fundraising for three large flat screen TVs. As well as providing televisions which residents can see easily, modern technology will allow us to also use the screens for activities, religious services and entertainment by means of connecting a PC or laptop. Many of our residents have visual impairment and large screen TVs would enable them to participate in a much wider range of social, spiritual and therapeutic activities. We are keen to do all we can to enhance the quality of life for our residents and we are hoping that you will consider supporting us.
