Held in September and now in their fifth year, the WellChild Awards (www.wellchildawards.com) is a unique, prestigious and star-studded occasion held to raise awareness of children's health in the UK. The awards recognise and encourage all those dealing with childhood health issues especially those dedicated doctors, medical researchers, nurses, and teachers who care for sick children on a daily basis. Perhaps most important of all, they recognise those children who have coped against the odds with a serious illness or disability and who are an inspiration to us all.
