    Situation

This ambitious project will provide a modern environment and enable us to expand our capacity to welcome adults with learning disabilities from 16 to 25 people. These additional places will be available to people with learning disabilities from the Highland region, particularly those who may be living alone or who may not have access to wider social networks thus experiencing isolation and loneliness. The workshop is a single storey building hosting a range of activities including craft and candle making; gardening and horticulture and woodworking. We are also developing the Highland's only retirement and life long learning project specifically designed to meet the needs and desires of older people with learning disabilities - to help them discover new interests and activities to enjoy at their own pace. The building has been designed to allow for flexibility, so we can respond, adapt and change activities as people's needs change and develop in new directions.
