    Situation

The Music Room was originally developed by Mr Frank Green in the 1920's, for use by the local estate workers as a social meeting place. Frank had a huge inpact on the well-being of the Exmoor pony. After the Second World War, the pony population had dwindled to 50. Not only were they used as target practice by the Americans, but they were also rustled for the meat. Thanks to Mr Green's dedication, the numbers became far more healthy, but education is still needed to continue to improve on this. We want to be able to tell the ponies' extraordinary story to both locals and tourists alike, aswell as to continue with our specialised handling work.
