    Situation

Those with learning disabilities are just as likely to be on the receiving end of discrimination or engage in discriminating behaviour as anyone else. Due to limited social contacts and lack of awareness and understanding of other social groups, faiths and disabilities, people with learning disabilities can behave inappropriately. Interact works with people with learning disabilities providing advocacy, child protection, family support and would like to support our users through the use of film to open up discussion in equality and diversity issues. We have the staff, expertise, premises and service users - we just need the equipment. The costs for the project are for a laptop, TV, LCD projector and costs for refreshments - a total of £2000.
