    Situation

CRISISPOINT helps children men and women who have been subjected to some of the worst crimes ever, SEXUAL ASSAULT,RAPE,SEXUAL ABUSE. We work with people who have been so traumatised by the event, they shut down and are unable to cope; they try to commit suicide, self harm or enter into drugs and alcohol abuse, often funded by prostitution. Some of our very young people stop living in the real world, they live in the make believe, but it is there that they are most vulnerable and are easy prey for more abuse from internet sexual offenders and sexual predators. We work with people for as long as it takes to get them back on the path for living and not just existing, Life is precious and is worth living, no one has the right to destroy it or to make you feel worthless. £500,000 would finance the whole service for three years, we have on average 3000 clients per year. £500,000 divided by 3000 equates to £167.00 per client, a small sum, considering the quality of life achieved through professional, specialist help. Rape and sexual abuse wrecks lives. Let's stop the trauma together, NOW.
