The Haven Wolverhampton provides women and children across Wolverhampton affected by domestic abuse and homelessness. We do this by offering emergency accommodation and a range of services to meet the needs of our service users.

Situation
Domestic abuse is prevalent throughout society. 1 in 4 women in the UK will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. Domestic abuse accounts for 28% of all violent crime in the West Midlands; double the figure for the UK as a whole.
Solution
The Haven delivers services that meet the complex needs of our service users. Offering a variety of services tailored to the needs of our service users means we take a holistic approach to support, improve well being and skills and ultimately support them to gain independence. Raising funds is essential to our services. Eg. £50 could pay for 2 play therapy sessions for a child, £100 could pay for an independent advisor to provide specialist advice or £250 could furnish a room in refuge.
