The Haven works with a very disadvantaged and hard to reach group. Domestic abuse can often erode women's confidence and cause them to suffer low self-esteem. Our service users have sometimes been obstructed from gaining employment due to the control of the abuser and so have little or no training which reduces their job prospects and future independence.

Having a central base for activities and a place to gain confidence will be the first route to encouragement and confidence through mentoring and guidance for our service users. The Hub will be a light and inspiring place. The building will enable a greater number of women and children to be helped and will raise awareness of The Haven and its work.
