    Situation

Children signing-up to be an AWARE Kid receive a decal, membership card and activity book that provides them with the opportunity to complete AWARE Kids missions - activities that get them involved in finding solutions to conservation issues such as threatened underwater species (e.g. sharks), marine debris and water conservation. Completed missions are entered in monthly prize drawings. The AWARE Kids activity book contains educational information about coral reefs, sharks, kelp forests, sea turtles, whales and dolphins, as well as fun facts, interactive games and puzzles (all with a conservation theme). An AWARE Kids Teacher's Guide is also available to assist schools and youth environments interested in including AWARE Kids activities as part of the National Curriculum. Funding for the AWARE Kids project would allow Project AWARE the ability to: Customise the AWARE Kids Teacher's Guide to better support the National Curriculum for England Contribute to increase childrens' environmental awareness in the UK by getting them involved in AWARE Kids activities Strenghten community interaction by involving schools and youth environments in marine conservatin activities in their local area
