An early intervention service, working with identified families to promote family stability, and avoid the need for more specialist services. This service will provide support from qualified staff as well as a team of volunteers who will act as family mentors.

Gateshead Council have identified 600 households where children are not appropriately attending school or are involved in crime and anti social behaviour.
Solution
This project will provide a family intervention service which will challenge and assist parents in embracing their responsibilities and equipping them with the skills and confidence to do so.
