    Situation

Support will take the form of the development of a Circle of Support around each young person. The Circle members are chosen by the young person and may include family, friends, acquaintances and members of the local community - people who will listen deeply to them enabling them to voice their dreams and aspirations in life. The Circle of Support could be based within the classroom and work to develop friendships and opportunities through that forum or it could be a community / home based setting depending on the wishes of the young person and family involved. This project is designed to be run over a period of 5 years, with a team of facilitators to cover each area of Northern Ireland. As the sustainable development of Circles of Support and the creation of a Person Centred Plan is time-intensive this project is based on a cost of £2,500 per carer.
