To build new accommodation, up to today's standards, for Community members who give us everything. The new block will house single people, couples and families, and will be built very much with the environment in mind.

    Situation

Community members at Lee Abbey receive no salary. Yet they leave families, homes and security to serve for a year or more on the Community, coming from 20 nations around the world. That's a huge commitment to God's work. And today, 12 of these Community members are housed in tiny, poorly insulated single rooms with an outside path to the loo - accommodation that would not be granted planning permission today. We want to honour the commitment shown to us, by providing an adequate standard of accommodation, and the new rooms in this project will do just that. Further elements of the Towards Tomorrow project include an extended Dining Room and improved guest facilities.
