We are seeking funding for a pilot study to provide a Hospice at Home Service which will offer personal care; practical and emotional support for those terminally ill patients who wish to die at home, and their carers. This will be in the Stafford and surrounding areas where no such service currently exists, and Cannock where the current service provision is inadequate.

Our new team will support patients who wish to die at home and their families and friends, through the last few days of their life. The team will be specifically trained to give practical, psychological and emotional support from 2 - 24 hours a day. They will help the patient and family by providing daily care and support. Carers will be able to look after their dying relative at home and also to have time to spend with them without needing to worry about the stresses of caring for them.
