Our current base is no longer fit for purpose and a new base is essential if the team is to continue growing and developing, providing free 24/7 search and rescue capabilities in this 350 square mile area.

Situation
We have increased our operational capabilities and the size of the team, thereby out growing our current operational headquarters. We have acquired land for a new base and are now raising funds to see this dream come true. At present we rely on the goodwill of the local police and fire service for storage of two vehicles, which increases the team taken to get these vehicles mobile. Our new base will have room for all four vehicles. It will also have much improved training facilities to ensure we are always ready to spring into action, together with facilities for full debriefs and rest following rescues. We need to raise over £250,000 for our new base - a base that should be fit for purpose for the next two decades.
