    Situation

In the new EU member states, there is a limited expertise of international development and lack of understanding and knowledge of the connection between human rights and development. International development policy in the new member states tends to focus on the immediate neighbourhood, leaving other developing countries outside the radar of the development policy-makers. The capacity of development stakeholders remains limited, as regards the knowledge of innovative approaches to development.

    Solution

This project aims to equip specific groups (decision-makers and key development actors) with the knowledge and tools to ensure that they can design development policies that meet the needs of target communities and thus improve their lives.
