The CVS Community Chest evolved as a result of the National Grassroots project. We now want to continue growing the Community Chest to support small voluntary groups in Telford & Wrekin. We are asking people to "invest" in the Community Chest which will provide a "local small grant pot"

Situation
Research and local knowledge has shown that many small voluntary groups appreciate the existance of "local grant pots" that they can apply to in times of need. The CVS Community Chest can help to meet this need by providing an ongoing source of local funding. In many cases local voluntary groups are supported by the community they serve. However, it is not always possible for the smaller community groups to plan for the unexpected or to expand.
Solution
The CVS Community Chest will meet a need in the community by providing a local, accessable funding source.
