Each year we hold a party over the festive season for the disadvantaged children we support. Your donation could: Enable a child to attend our party to make Christmas extra special this year OR Pay for a weekend outing for a child and their mentor to give them the one-to-one support they need
It ran from 12:00 PM, 29 November 2016 to 12:01 PM, 6 December 2016

The children we support grow up experiencing multiple and sometimes complex issues, including: - poverty - domestic abuse - overwhelming caring responsibilities as young carers - disability or special educational needs - bereavement - substance misuse - mental health problems - social isolation or bullying These issues can have a negative impact on their childhood and even their future life opportunities.
We recruit and train adult volunteer mentors using a robust process. Each child referred to our service is carefully matched to a mentor who takes them out on three weekends each month, for a minimum of two years. These outings provide vulnerable children an opportunity to access new experiences - new stories to tell their friends. Our team of experienced caseworkers have weekly supervision calls with mentors, regular review meetings with children and their families and provide on-call support
