The conflict in Syria has resulted in over 1million refugees – and it’s expected to get worst. Since the beginning, children have been its forgotten victims, facing death, trauma and suffering. Save the Children is providing vital assistance to children and families who’ve often lost everything.

Situation
The conflict is affecting all aspects of children’s lives. Three million buildings have been damaged or destroyed, thousands of families are sleeping in caves, parks or barns, and three in four Syrian children have lost a loved one because of the fighting. Healthcare, education, protection, food and shelter are just some of the basic rights that children are being robbed of.
Solution
As the need grows, Save the Children is increasing its response in Syria and the surrounding countries. Working with partners and local populations, by the end of the year we aim to help over 760,000 people affected by the conflict through nutrition, education, child protection, shelter, water, hygiene, and health interventions. Our work will save children’s lives and provide the opportunity for a brighter future.
