    Situation

    The need As School-Home Support continues to fulfill numerous government priorities and initiatives such as Every Child Matters, Extended Schools, Parent Support Advisors and Supporting Communities, demand for our services is growing rapidly. The project will secure the long term effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of School-Home Support and enable us to satisfy this growing need. During the process of moving to our new funding model, SHS will experience a temporary funding gap. The project We are seeking to establish a circle of investors who will be central to this step change. This circle will represent a private equity approach to funding with an innovative investment-style reporting model where investors enjoy transparency, disclosure, long-term relationships, an insight into the whole business and seats on the board. So far, Private Equity Foundation and Harvey McGrath have pledged their commitment. This project will enable the: - Recruitment of new trustees - Essential infrastructure investment, including IT and laptops for remote staff - Implementation of an improved case management system - Delivery of a 3-year longitudinal impact study - Replenishing of reserves to 3 months’ running costs Outcomes - Increased earned income achieved (92% from previous 73%) - Improved effectiveness, efficiency and long term sustainability secured - Increased service delivery (from 41,000 to 138,600 children, young people and families per year) - Improved ability to leverage income from this investment - Improved evidence of impact Investment: £3.4 million (£1.1 M secured ) Period: 4 years Geography: National Impact: 138,600 vulnerable pupils per year by 2014
