Storybook Dad tries to help as many prisons as possible to implement the scheme. We are always sending info and offering advice and training to other establishments. Eventually we hope to offer this service to all eligible serving prisoners and their families. We are especially trying to involve more women's prisons.

The training we offer varies to simple technical advice over the phone to those prisons that are sending their recordings to our headquarters to be edited, to a full two day audio editing production course for those prisons that want to have their own small editing facility. We are also introducing family day workshops whereby all the family can record stories together. And finally our new DVD dads scheme is in its developmental stage, in which imprisoned dads are filmed reading a story to their child with the help of Ollie our orangutan puppet. Storybook Dads is also helping the army, air force and navy to set up similar projects.
