    Situation

"Does he take sugar with that?", "Would he like a biscuit?". Attitudes to those in a wheel chair, with impaired speech or another disability can be fustrating for the person affected. That's not to say that there are not good things that come from disability and illness. Experiencing the inate goodness of people for one and subsidised travel spring to mind! Written by some one affected by disability 'Am I invalid?' is a humourous and life afirming way of facing up to something that could affect us all.
