Providing people who leave hostels with nothing the basics to start a home, crockery, cutlery, bedding, towels, tea towels, curtains etc. We need someone to co-ordinate this work across the UK including organising transport, warehousing, distribution and finding supplies.

Situation
Furniture Re-use Charities already provide people with furniture and electrical items, but a bed needs sheets, duvet, pillows to be probably used. A cooker is no good with pots and pans, and a meal needs crockery and cutlery. A home has no privacy with curtains. Currently there are a small number of 'starter packs schemes' mainly for homeless families, across the country. We want to develop a national network and also ensure that they have supplies - a combination of donated second hand items and new items (e.g. end of line etc). Once we have sourced goods we need to organise cost effective logistics to ensure it goes to where it is needed. We will need an overall co-ordinator and at least two staff - one in the north and one in London to make this work.
