    Situation

These are not to teach English, rather to help improve English listening and speaking skills. They are increasingly being incorporated into radio services in many languages worldwide. They are of general interest. Some deal with health/welfare issues. Some references are made to Western culture and things that Christians believe but not criticizing the values of other people. Production of good quality material of this type is time-consuming and additional funding will ensure it can continue to address contemporary issues effectively. The only other source of such material is Voice of America.
