Around 275,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every year. Many people are living longer with cancer than ever before which throws up many different challenges over a prolonged period. Whilst standards of clinical care around the UK are generally excellent, there is little time and space in the hospital environment to explore what a diagnosis of cancer means for patients and their families. Nor is it the ideal place to address the many and varied fears carers and family members face.

Maggie’s Centres offer a place for people to turn to for help with any of the problems, large or small, associated with living with cancer. We support people at any stage of the cancer journey, with a dedicated team of professional staff on hand to help overcome fear, manage stress and anxiety, and get the most out of medical treatment. This is delivered from an eye-catching yet homely buildings, designed to comfort and reassure people at a time of great vulnerability.
