95% of our pupils pay either nothing or heavily subsidised fees. Our very nature means that funds for running the School have to be sought beyond the traditional means of fees. On average it costs us £24,500 a year to educate and support one child, and the Christ's Hospital Foundation's endowment can only meet 70% of these costs. We must meet as much of this shortfall as possible through donations,The Education Fund is one of the easiest and most effective ways to do this.

Donations to the Education fund go towards closing the gap between income and expenditure. What marks CH today is not just the quality of the education but also the range of extra curricular activities we provide. In practice, this means that as well as the academic programme, pupils will also be involved in music, art, drama, public speaking, community action and sport , funding, therefore, is required for anything from art materials and sports kit to backpacks for Duke of Edinburgh expeditions
