The Centre for Policy on Ageing provides the UK’s only library and information service dedicated to older age issues that is open to everyone. CPA needs to raise money to save this unique resource and carry on its vital work building a knowledge base on ageing to improve older people's lives.

Government and voluntary organisations seeking to meet the needs and aspirations of older people need reliable information in order to establish programmes and projects based on what really works. CPA has developed a unique collection of knowledge on issues around the care, wellbeing and quality of life of older people. In difficult times it is even more important that practical help for older people should be ‘evidence based’ using the information available from CPA.
Solution
The continuance and development of CPA's information services are critical to ensuring that the interests of older people are best served. CPA urgently needs to raise short-term funding to avoid the immediate closure and loss of these services.
