Lakes Alive is a four-year programme of outdoor arts events and festivals running across Cumbria, the Lake District. It takes place mainly in public spaces and aims to bring the very best outdoor work from across the globe to the spectacular landscapes of Cumbria for the widest possible audience.

Lakes Alive aims to bring the best international arts to a county that historically does not have access to the type of work on offer in major cities.
Solution
The programme delivers a huge array of events and festival using the natural assets of the landscape as a backdrop, and reaching audiences all across Cumbria who may otherwise not have the opportunity to access such work. It engages new audience in the arts, and aims to leave a lasting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
