Leicester Royal Infirmary Neonatal Unit has recently undergone a £9.3m refurbishment giving them state of the art facilities for premature and poorly babies. Due to the huge increase in size of the amount of babies the neonatal unit can take we urgently need to recruit more staff to support parents

Our current Family Support Worker cannot support all the parents of premature and poorly babies due to the increase in size of the new neonatal unit. More and more parents need our help, support and advise over this traumatic emotional time - the babies get the best medical care in the UK but who supports the parents we do!
Solution
By increasing the nunmber of Family Support workers fromm one to three this will enable us to give the parents the support they need and continue to cover Leicester General Neonatal unit as well as the one at Leicester Royal Infirmary. Too many babies, too many distraught parents and currently only one Family Support Worker. By increasing the numbr of staff will ensure that every parents get the help and support they need
