All children in this marginal farming area are anxious to attend full-time school as both they and their parents see education as a way out of poverty. Currently children attending higher grades in this village have to walk over 6 miles to the nearest school and families are reluctant to release them to walk so far where there are wild wolves and hyenas prowling. Children at earlier grades are attending locally but in stone shacks with inadequate tree branches as roofs and sitting on stones.

This will be our seventh similar school upgrading & construction project with a proven track record of excellence. This project will replicate those already built & bring closer, easier access to better quality education in top grade buildings that are bright, airy & cool with proper basic furniture. We have the full support of the local Bureau of Education & community who will staff and maintain the school on completion. Well educated youngsters have the potential to better develop themselves.
