Mnay women and young people turn to crime as a result of disadvantaged backgrounds, a lack of confidence and motivation, and a percieved lack of alternative opportunities. Reoffending rates and extremely high - prison does not solve these problems and is an expensive and ineffective solution.

We give young people and women involved in offending the opportunity to make long term, tangible changes in their lives. With Venture Trust, participants have the opportunity to get away into wilderness environments, where they face challenges and support to help them develop essential life skills, such as overcoming challenges, setting goals and communicating effectively. We support participants to apply these skills back in their local communities, helping them to avoid (re)offending.
