SAA-ArtBeat is a music and visual art project designed to broaden people’s perceptions and appreciation of differing art forms. It represents a rare opportunity to initiate a lasting dialogue between South Asian visual artists and musicians.

Situation
- UK-based South Asian artists are under-represented and under-exposed, the project aims to create a professional platform for them to promote their talents through a response to clasical and contemporary music - To build a platform of positive relationships within the local Asian community and the Arts; developing aspects of engagement, enabling broadening aspirations, social mobility and engendering creativity as a positive activity.
Solution
Through mentoring and support in professional research, use of materials and presentation of their work, SAA-UK is seeking to redress the imbalance of little-known artistic talent in the South Asian community. The project provides a clear impetus through the concert series to respond to music in a refreshing and unique manner. SAA-UK will also utilise established networks of visual arts organisations to assist the artists in their self-promotion and networking capabilities.
