Situation

The problem of a lack of access by isolated rural communities to high quality contemporary craft exhibitions, a lack of access by the communities to exciting, quality artists, a lack of access by local schools of contact with good quality artists from further afield, a lack of access for young people out of full-time education and employment to training opportunities through workshops and demonstrations by inspiring contemporary artists.

Solution

By bringing high quality, exciting and challenging craft exhibitions and artists to isolated rural areas. Creating workshop opportunities for local schools and community groups, organising access to the artists with demonstrations and workshops prior to and during the exhibitions, by raising aspirations of both young and old by training opportunities through workshops in Craft-making that will enable both individual satisfaction as well as inspiring further education possibilities.
