Campaign target

Children growing up in low-income, unemployed families face many challenges in the course of their young lives. These children are more likely to experience multiple family transitions, move frequently, and change schools. The schools they attend are often less well funded and the neighborhoods in which they live are typically disadvantaged. Social and economic deprivation during childhood and adolescence has a lasting effect on young people.

A young person’s wellbeing is intricately connected to the context of their family. As a result services that supportfamily preservation and parenting skillsare well placed to address challenges & broaden the knowledge base in support of all the family members. Through the services provided, issues affecting families as a unit are addressed, ensuring the development of the young person in a balanced & healthy family environment & in turn lead to a more happy & blossoming adolescence.
