No one ever knows when a call is going to come in. But we do know that people in our community need our Critical Care Team both day and night. Right now our helicopters don’t fly at night.. It’s not how we get there that’s important; it’s that we get there. Most people do not realise this.
It ran from 12:00 PM, 27 November 2018 to 12:00 PM, 4 December 2018
Registered Charity in England and Wales (1121300)
Each year the Critical Care Team attends two thirds of our work via our Critical Care Cars. They are an essential part of our operations; the ambulance service has previously always funded the cars however this has now been cut. It is up to us to front the costs needed to be able to continue our operations via our two Critical Care Cars.
The funding of the Critical Care Cars will allow us to continue to deliver our vital lifesaving work when the helicopter is unavailable or unsuitable. No one ever knows when a call is going to come in. But we do know that people in our community need our Critical Care Team both day and night.
