Our Listening Friends Scheme provides free and confidential volunteer staffed telephone service for those in the profession facing stressful situations (eg bullying, bereavement, exam pressures). Volunteers are spread across Great Britain and currently supported via an online call log and forum which is unfortunately outdated and no longer meets the needs of the organisation or its volunteers and the system itself is unsupported

A new ‘Online Log & Support Fourm’ will enable us build a picture of the issues facing those in the profession today and help steer our social policy work to improve conditions for those working in the sector. It will also help the charity to identify gaps in support and enhance charity communications in general, enabling us to develop similar discussion forums with partner organisations and supporters.
